The bulk of the work for this one is in making the granola itself, which takes about 10 minutes of prep and then another 50 minutes or so to bake. Other than that, it’ll take you less than 5 minutes to set everything up in the morning. You’ll want to do homemade granola due to all of the extra sugar found in store-bought granola, and it’s pretty easy to make. Just choose a few ingredients you’d like, such as superfood seeds and other healthy ingredients.
Protein Pancakes
Another one that’s relatively quick, try making some protein pancakes. For example, try adding some raw oats and no-sugar applesauce, as well as some protein powder or collagen to increase the protein content post-workout. They only take about 15 minutes to cook at most, and the best part is that you can make a bunch, freeze them, and then reheat them. They still taste fantastic after being reheated and can make for a quick and healthy post-workout breakfast if you make enough.
Power Greens Smoothie
Making a power greens smoothie is another great option that takes little to no prep, and can help when you’re in a rush after your early morning workout. You’ll want to put some green veggies such as kale or spinach into the smoothie, as well as some greek yogurt for that protein and creaminess you’re looking for. Depending on your own personal preference, you put seeds like flax or chia into the smoothie to receive other various nutrients. And if you’re not a fan of dairy, try using plant-based protein powder as a supplement.
